BRAD Biophotonic Skin Care, the namesake line created by health and beauty pioneer Brad Hunter, was originally developed to restore skin to its optimal health after the ravages of traveling by air - fluctuating cabin pressure, extreme altitude, excessive UV radiation and contaminated air.

BRAD HUNTER

Brad Hunter, creator of BRAD Biophotonic Skin Care, is obsessed with skin science and products that can bring the skin back to life. An early fascination with skincare led him to the department store beauty counter as one of the first men to serve in cosmetics at Nordstrom. He subsequently worked with beauty super-brand Estee Lauder, La Prairie, and Lancôme.

“At first there was practically nothing available in skincare and then all of a sudden, there was too much,” notes Hunter referring to today’s overwhelming excess of products and information, an unnecessary complexity he hopes to demystify with his potent, pared-down brand of therapeutic skincare.

Throughout the years, Hunter has enjoyed successful careers in retailing and real estate, simultaneously advancing his skincare research, particularly in the area of bio-fermentation, and developing custom blends put to the test by his network of friends. 

In 2004, he was commissioned to create an exclusive skincare line for a fleet of private aircraft – formulations that would address the extreme dehydration, low oxygen levels and other notorious realities of air travel’s effects on the skin. It was during this research that he discovered the biophotonic effects of violet light, a hallmark of his signature line and a packaging treatment that protects and energizes the preparations. The overwhelming success of this custom line led to additional private label projects and ultimately to Hunter’s full-time return to skincare. BRAD Biophotonic Skin Care, which is based on purity, potency and precision, with a pared down, to the point aesthetic, was launched in Spring 2010.
